Nemanja Ljubinković - Violin

Serbian-British violinist Nemanja Ljubinković began his musical studies at the age of 6 in Belgrade with Dejan Mihailović, giving his first recital aged 10.  He was the prize-winner at the International Yamaha Competition, Citta di Genova Violin Awards and the Jeunesse Musicale Competition. He studied in Munich at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater with Anna Chumachenko, and he regularly worked with Zakhar Bron, Ida Haendel, and Igor Ozim.  He has performed as a soloist with the Belgrade Sinfonietta Chamber Orchestra, Belgrade Philharmonic and Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, and gained orchestral experience with the Bayerische Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester, Bayerische Staatstheater Orchestra, and Bayreuth Festspielhaus. He was a sub-leader of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and has played with orchestras such as the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Munich Chamber Orchestra, English Festival Orchestra, Tchaikovsky Camerata, and the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra.  He is also a member of the award-winning chamber ensemble Double Sens in Paris, with whom he has recorded a number of albums for Deutsche Grammophon and Warner Classics.  He plays regularly with the London Mozart Players and is leader of the Orchestre du Festival Lyrique-en-mer in France.

Philip Walsh - Piano

British pianist and conductor Philip Walsh is the artistic director of the French opera festival Lyrique-en-mer, on Belle-Ile in Brittany.  He made his debut at La Fenice in Venice conducting Thomas Ades’ opera Powder her Face and other appearances in Italy have included the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, having appeared with pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet in concerts in Parma, Modena and Ferrara, and with jazz legend Dee Dee Bridgewater in the Verona Jazz Festival. Born in Southampton he studied piano and organ and went on to study music at Cambridge as organ scholar of Queens’ College, where his teacher was the renowned Bach specialist Peter Hurford.  After graduating he spent a number of years in New Zealand, as director of music at Wellington Cathedral. In Europe he has worked for l’Opéra de Metz, l’Opéra de Bordeaux, Teatru Manoel, Malta, English Touring Opera, and the Aldeburgh Festival. Orchestras he has conducted include the London Sinfonietta, the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, Orchestra della Teatro La Fenice, Orchestra della Teatro Comunale, Bologna, l’Orchestre National de Lorraine, RTS Symphony Orchestra, Belgrade and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.
